A Tearful Reunion — Darrell Maloney

Dave finally catches up with Beth's kidnappers and drags Sal from the wagoneer's bench. He's in the process of beating Sal to death when he's stopped by a little girl's plaintive cries. “Daddy, stop! You're hurting him!” The tiny voice belongs to Beth. Dave drops Sal's head in the dirt and runs to his little girl. They're reunited at last. It's a joyous but tearful reunion.
