Gr 1-4-Each of these bright and visually pleasing books focuses on one verb. Each page inset depicts different shades of meaning for it with an accompanying photograph, for example, Children often run when they play or You may need a tissue if your nose is running. While the photos are appealing and high quality, the texts are dull. There is no interesting information to attract general audiences and the vocabulary is too hard for beginning readers.
