Description
A burglary at an attorney's home in Tupelo, Mississippi and a stolen 10,000-year-old archaeological treasure draw Detective Arlan Trahan into the dark underworld of primitive flintknapping-and into the ghostly path of a World War II soldier with a terrible secret. Soon he finds himself on a decades-long trail of clues between the old soldier and the home invasion. Connections between the attorney, her stolen artifact, and a 1942 bank robbery quickly turn more than mysterious. A team of Memphis racketeers arrives with plans for the missing relic, and plans to end his investigation-with guns. And if things couldn't get worse, Trahan discovers the charming but reticent lawyer has a closetful of secrets-and a date with an eighty-year-old injustice.
