Winds of the Rio Grande — Createspace

After the great civil war, many of the warriors sought a haven in the promised land called Texas. Some stayed to help a struggling replublic grow into the great state it was destined to become. Some looked to steal and plunder, ever on the outside of the law, while others wanted to simply be left alone. There were the men who would seek solitude in the great mountains of the west. A few stayed in Texas to trap in the Big Bend mountain range created by the winding Rio Grande river.Others wanted to see the high country of the Rocky montain range. This is the story of one of those men. Samson Raines would follow the wild and raging Rio Grande river from it's entrance into the Big Bend canyons to it's beginning in the San Juan mountains of the Colorado Territory. Along the way he would find many challenges
