Staff Nurse Wendy McBride had given up her job after a serious accident which killed her fiancé. Nearly fit again, she felt the need to work, but knew she was not yet strong enough for ‘real' nursing. The job at Hillside Convalescent Home sounded ideal, but registrar Dr. Simon Meadows, the home's director, made it clear he doubted her abilities!
