The day before Thanksgiving, Mandy Barker can't find the family carving knife. The knife was made by her Grandfather and given to her Grandmother as a gift on Thanksgiving Day when they were first married. It is a family heirloom. When Boris Templeton is murdered and Mandy identifies the murder weapon as her knife, she thinks Thanksgiving will never be the same again. Mandy doesn't realize it, but the family carving knife and the family history leading back to her Grandfather's day, also leads to the killer and a Thanksgiving Day surprise.
