Miraculous healer Kaye must come to terms with a ghostly encounter from her past that she has always kept secret. Psychic vampire Sally has a midnight encounter with one of Slope's desperate residents, hardening her resolve to free them of the dangerous magic - for Sally has a personal reason for mistrusting Cloda Baker.
