Description
Mr and Mrs Darcy have two daughters, the beautiful and talented Emily, and the plain but lively Catherine. Both are heiresses and are vulnerable to fortune-hunters, but in their eagerness to protect them, Mr and Mrs Darcy have forgotten the lessons that they learned in their own courtship: that pride comes before a fall, and that love conquers all. Things come to a head when Emily declares that she has fallen in love with a poor, struggling artist.
