Description
Even-tempered Mandy Foster can't seem to hold her temper with the workaholic father of one of her daycare children. Why does she let Cam Evans get under her skin? Could it be she needs to date, get out more, and find a relationship? What she wants more than anything is a family. A man who's a good partner and father to their children. With her thirty-first birthday approaching, she feels the pressure to find a husband before it's too late to start a family. Doctor Cameron Evans tried the marriage route, and his wife left him with an infant son to raise. Not only did she shatter his heart, she left him with a damaged ego and a general distrust of women. His son is all he needs, and he strives to give him a good home. Long hours and the demands of his profession make single parenthood a struggle, though. Fortunately, he has Foster Care to see to Caleb's needs while he works, even if one of the owners thinks he's not much of a dad. When Cam's former in-laws file a lawsuit for full custody of his son, Cam turns to Mandy for sympathy. Instead, she makes him an outrageous offer of marriage. She wants a family, he needs a stable, two-family home for Caleb, and neither have time or inclination for romance and dating. It's an ideal solution except for one major flaw. Neither count on falling in love.
