The Destroyers — Charles Whiting

In December 1944 the battered German Army hurled a devastating attack on the 'Ghost Front' of the Ardennes, and in the midst of the Battle of the Bulge, a lone man slipped behind the Allied lines. He was an assassin, a fanatical SS killer dedicated to his mission: to liquidate General Eisenhower. Pitted against him was a group of men as savagely ruthless as the Nazi himself. They were the Destroyers, the suicidal commandos led by the one-eyed Lieutenant Crooke, VC. Their orders were clear: the Destroyers had to find the Nazi and exterminate him - before he could kill Ike.
