Description
Twenty-eight-year old, Kelly Albright has always been a planner. A career in finance was an obvious choice, and dating her high school sweetheart was a no-brainer; but quitting her nine-to-five banking job to start her event planning business, while at the same time breaking up with the love of her life, wasn't in her plans. Firefighter, Brad Stevens loves his job. The dedication and sacrifice he makes are what he needs to work toward his goal as the next fire chief. Commitment has never been his strong suit, and he's never felt the need to make his relationship with Kelly anything more, but the past year, Brad's realized what he's lost. He knows Kelly is still the one, and he's bought an engagement ring to prove it, he just needs the right opportunity to propose and show her that she still has his heart. When Kelly is planning her best friend's wedding she is trying to make everything perfect, but Brad wants to tag along to everything, including the cake tasting, causing her anxiety because she doesn't want him to interfere and ruin the only chance she has to show she can handle a celebrity-style wedding. Insisting on being her planning assistant, he's hoping time together will put a spark in their relationship and win her back. However, when the June weather heats up, so do the fires in California threatening to smother his plans. While Brad is away, he learns of Kelly's business struggles and sees the strength of the woman he'd fallen in love with; it's then and there that Brad decides to show Kelly exactly what forever means.
