Description
Joel Van Fleet, a New York banker, devised a plot to rob Daniel Stark of the gold he brought from the Montana gold fields to pay his father's debts. During the robbery, two men were killed. Only Stark's strength and agility saved his life and his gold. Horrified at himself, Van Fleet vows his life to God's service, sells all that he has, and travels 2,200 miles to Montana Territory to beg Dan Stark's forgiveness. But Stark is not a forgiving man.
