Life is heating up as the June sun relentlessly beats down on the townspeople of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Relief from the sweltering heat becomes a quest and a challenge to all, and in more ways than one. The pressing weight of loss and heartache causes those suffering to seek out the refreshing places of God's comfort. They must learn to lean on one another more than ever before.

From Ingrid Mueller's window, the shadow of the bronze sundials reminds her it is time to give her husband, Hans, the medicine for his back. But Hans so discovers his nagging back pain is much more serious than anyone thought. What will he do? And how will Ingrid cope with this news?
