Sometimes being cool is not so easy…
Roxanne knows her first year in junior high is going to be the best. And, even though her best friend, Maxine, will be going to another school, Roxanne is determined to make new friends -- and have a great time!

But things don't turn out quite the way Roxanne expects. First of all, Roland (a total goofball) is going to the same school as Roxanne. Second, her new group of friends are extremely cool, but sometimes do things that Roxanne might not normally do.

Now she can't decide whether it's better to be cool -- or to be alone....
