Whispering Terror — Betty Mowery

A plea for help over the telephone made Carole Alexander drop everything and drive up to Whispering Winds, the home of her old friend, Molly Lawrence. When Carole reached the lovely house near the sea, she was shocked to learn that Molly had died the previous day. She was even more shocked when Mike Walsh, the handsome police chief, told her the death was a suicide. Determined to prove to herself and to Mike that Molly had not killed herself, Carole conducted her own investigation. She was mystified by what she found.
