She also inherited a strange sense of mystery, for it soon became clear to Jody that David had never told her about a great many things in his past. She tried to learn more about him from her new acquaintances in Willow Falls, but they were reluctant to reveal much to a stranger. And one of them--moody, magnetic Josh Dorn--was downright hostile to Jody. Even when that hostility was replaced by a growing affection, Josh could not really trust any woman because of some mystery in his own past. Yet Jody's heart foolishly warmed to him.
