Description
Heather Richards was happy to spend the summer at her aunt's house near the beach. It would give her a chance to get over Steven Drake, who had recently betrayed her. Not only would she forget Steven, she would avoid all men--at least for a good long time. That was what Heather promised herself. Yet she couldn't help being intrigued by Jerame Lord, publisher of the town's weekly newspaper, and Phillip Andrews, a talented young painter. Phillip especially attracted Heather even though she was warned by an earnest old man that the painter would cause her grief.
Heather suspected the old-timer was right. All the same, she thrilled to Phillip's strange fascination. Oh, why could she never grow up?
