Description
Voices -- There was a voice of Richard, her late husband's brother, so gentle and kind and perhaps even loving...the voice of Martin, the painter whose work Marion could never see, and whose designs she could not fathom...the voice of Consuela, the housekeeper, whose beauty Marion could not judge, but whose hatred rang terrifyingly clear. -- Three voices, each of them warning Marion against the others.
And always, of course, Marion's own inner voice, desperately fighting nerve-shattering fear as she wondered how to defend herself from a danger she could only sense...from an enemy who remained invisible...from an evil whose embrace she could feel tighten around her as it held her prisoner in the lighthouse.
