Description
Competing against more beautiful and talented girls, Beth Patton had little hope of winning the contest which offered a trip to England for the Coronation to the lucky victor. One of her rivals in the finals was a New York model, chic and poised. Another pretty blonde had the advantages of wealth and social position. Yet it was the unassuming little Kentucky girl who won the grand prize.
There followed a whirlwind tour of New York and a luxury trip overseas -- in the company of a tall, sauve public relations man and a cocky cameraman, all under the chaperonage of a prim spinster friend of Beth's. Forgotten was Beth's home town of Ferndale, her home town sweetheart Robin Stanton.
