Description
Although Averil Keating had a beautiful singing voice, she was not interested in a music or stage career. She was too dedicated to her job as nurse on the children's ward of Bay City Memorial Hospital. Besides, Averil's ever-absent divorced mother was a professional actress, so the young nurse knew how a theater career could destroy family life.
Then, suddenly, Averil got a part in a musical at a community theater--and she discovered she loved acting, she had more talent than she realized, and she adored Dorian Ames, a big star who tried to help her stage career. This was her big chance to start a whole new life--the kind of life most girls would give their eyeteeth for. But was it right for Averil?
