Jessie Helm, wife of Tobe Helm and mother of two young children, disappeared into a snow storm one early spring evening after a violent argument with her husband - and hasn't been seen since. The community turned out in force to search, but no one found a clue. Then Chet Upshaw, the Las Cruces Herald's ace investigative reporter, is called in to help. Has Jessie been murdered? Abducted?
