She Had To Make Her Own Way...
Fiona was an orphan at the height of the financial ruin of the late 1920's. She had no skills; she had no benefactor. A beautiful face and a lovely figure were the only tools with which she could earn her living.
For awhile she managed to stay afloat by dancing with strangers for a drink and a tip. Men were nice to her--very, very nice. Many would have been happy to place her in the lap of luxury--for a price.
But Fiona was a lady ...a lady in love with a man whose tragic past forced them apart, breaking both their hearts and bringing Fiona closer and closer to starvation or moral ruin!
