When that finally comes at the death of her two half brothers in the war, the price is too much. But no matter how much she wants to punish her father for not protecting her brothers, or at least escape his influence, Danielle finds she is not strong enough to do it on her own.



When the deepening war in Europe in late 2061 brings her father's closest ally and competitor to their door seeking refuge, Danielle discovers there are limits to her father's influence. And someone who can help her make use of those weaknesses.

Set in Europe, this series unfolds through the intersecting lives of a small handful of people and explores adult themes, both dark and hopeful, of friendship, romance, and family, including how these influences direct everyday choices, which ripple outwards to impact governments on the verge of war. Because not all influence is good, and not all decisions can be made in time.
