Twenty Tales by Twenty Women — Anonymous

Twenty Tales by Twenty Women is about the life of 20 women who live in Chicago. It was written in Chicago by 20 women from across the country. The stories give voice to those women who have been ostracized and judged by society, and those who have fallen victim to circumstances beyond their control. The book is not intended to be a happy reading experience, but, rather, a thought-provoking one of what life was like for women in the underground of a large, American city at the start of the 20th century.
