Pretty Linda Dane fled from an unhappy marriage to San Francisco. There she applied her Piscean gift for healing at “the Hive,” a way station for society's victims, ruled by the charismatic but iron-willed Dora Koenig, her cousin. Soon the Pisces' powerful desire for a mate caught her in an inextricable emotional bind between two male Hive dwellers -- the tall, motorcycle-riding Jed Valen and the intensely handsome Felix Warshaw.
