Description
Lady Catherine is at the chateau of the Marquis de Clichy in 1789 when the French Revolution starts. She escapes with the Marquis's son, Bernard, her companion, a crippled maid and a young couple with their baby. They disguise themselves as a bargee family and sail down the Loire to Nantes. Bernard thinks Catherine is frivolous until he is injured, then he admires her bravery when she arranges their passage to England.
