Description
Private Detective, Ulysses F Donaghue, has been invited by his lifelong friend, Dr Clothilde Blanche, to a three day inaugural retreat at the abbey of St Pierre la Croix in the south of France.
The abbey had been bought and restored to its medieval glory by Hollywood director, Thelonius Kapp and his young wife, globally acclaimed beauty and pop singer, 'Salome.'
On the first day of the retreat three deaths occur: first Thelonius Kapp himself, then Milly, Salome's young beautician and finally a novice, Sister Veronique, who is found with her head crushed by the weight of the abbey's wine press.
Donaghue, in the style of the great British fictional detectives, unmasks the killer before the assembled guests.
Come Away Death is a near perfect descendant of the classic Christie whodunit.
