Everyone is Special! — Amy Bauman

In Everyone Is Special, Matty receives an elaborate new toy robot. His other toys appreciate Mr. Bot’s fancy features, but Teddy feels insufficient, as if he is being replaced. Teddy emulates Mr. Bot by adorning himself in shiny tin-foil and googly glasses. Upon discovering Teddy in this state, Matty pulls off the robot garb and envelopes him in a giant hug. While snuggling together later that night, Teddy realizes his soft, cuddly features are special, and he is happy to be himself. Through innovative sound technology, kids can push a button in the corner of the book to bring Mr. Bot to life with robot sounds and accompanying vibrations.
