Lord Toby Allenby is very fond of women. His brother, Harry, is not. So, when their great aunt leaves a bizarre caveat in her will, Toby assumes the inheritance is his for the taking, assuming he can find a suitable wife. But add to the mix a scheming mistress, an ambitious strumpet, and a very accident-prone young lady, and Toby finds his quest not quite as simple as he first supposed.
