Description
The Nameless Novel is a rampant pornographic novella written in 1904 by Aleister Crowley to stimulate and amuse his wife. The chapters in of this rare and debauched text bring to mind the picaresque absurdism of Alfred Jarry, the deranged oneiric flow of Lautréamont's ‘Maldoror' and Apollinaire's ‘Les Onze Mille Vierges'. In submitting to the call of obscenity and the basest of desires, the imagination frees the mind from their thrall. Crowley at his most deranged, obscene, and irreverent.
