The Yellow Packard — Ace Collins

With the Great Depression sweeping across the country, draftsman George Hall buys a barely used Packard sedan from the estate of eccentric spinster Abigale Watling, despite swirling rumors that the car is nothing but bad luck. At first the Packard brings the Halls an unexpected boon -- but then the unthinkable follows when their daughter Rose is kidnapped and the car is stolen.
