About the Author

Marilyn Marshall is a graduate of Southern Methodist University, and studied professional writing through the University of Oklahoma. She has a daughter and two sons, now embarked on careers of their own, and a supportive husband who encourages her writing goals, and whose work as a geologist has taken him on travel throughout the world. Drawing on his experiences and observations, he is a major contributor to the research for Ms. Marshall's books. Rounding out their home is a Labrador retriever called Miss Ellie. Among the author's hobbies are reading and pro football.
