Jode Ellsworth is the sister of John Ellsworth, a writer of legal thrillers with whom she has collaborated on her first novel, I, Lawyer. Jode lives in Mexico with her family and two dogs and a flock of wrens making their nest under her roof tiles.
Jode received her undergraduate and master's degrees from Arizona State University and she taught English to college freshmen and seniors for thirty years before taking retirement with her husband and heading south of the border.
Before beginning her writing career, Jode and Tom (her husband) traveled the United States, Mexico, and Canada in their Dodge Ram and fifth wheel, developing an interest in lighthouses and serving as lighthouse keepers up and down the east and west coasts of the North American Continent.
Jode began writing in her teens and has written primarily poetry and professional papers on the life and writings of Gustave Flaubert and Emily Dickinson. She began writing fiction when asked by her brother, John Ellsworth, to collaborate on the Christine Susmann series, beginning with I, Lawyer, a novel about the paralegal-turned-lawyer that features Christine in her first novel.
John Ellsworth is from Arizona and has practiced law nationwide. For thirty years, he defended criminal clients across the United States. His first book, "The Defendants," was published on Amazon in January 2014. John is self-published and enjoys the freedom of choosing his own release schedule, selecting covers, and marketing his own work. "It's a great thing Amazon has done, giving all writers access to a readership, and I, for one, am very grateful to them."

The books represent the kind of learning experience I went through when I was Thaddeus' age and learning how to patty-cake when it came to doing the right thing for clients.
