What is a young Christian to do when his life has just been ruined by his death? Josh leaves his earthly form behind to start an adventure that will test his faith, trust in God, and himself.
Excerpt - "Mercifully the funeral was brief. Not drawn out like some. Well there really wasn't much to say.
Looking down on his human corpse, Josh knew that he had accomplished nothing in his life. He had wasted his 15 something years doing, nothing. What could be said about him? That he liked to watch extreme sports on TV, that he had begged and pleaded for his own room which he finally got, much to the annoyance of his sister who had wanted that particular room for herself, and that he got ok grades in school? He didn't even had any other things to recommend himself. He wasn't in any clubs or in any sports. Due to his illness, his church going wasn't regular and he had almost not gotten baptized due to his illness. He had forced himself to go through with it though, even though when he got out of the baptism pool, he had had to run to the bathroom to vomit. But his life was pretty much a waste. Well it wasn't pretty much, it was.
The funeral concluded and everyone went their separate ways. Except Josh, who stayed looking at the freshly shoveled soil until the sun went down. When darkness fell, Josh felt ready to move on. But move on to where? There wasn't anywhere to go from here. Nowhere at all. Or was there.
He started to feel himself floating up. Drawn as if by a magnet, up to the heavens. It felt almost like reverse skydiving, not that Josh had ever been skydiving, but he had seen some sick videos of it.
He looked down and saw the ground vanishing. He would have been afraid but he was in a spirit form, not his old human shell. "
