Pearlie Goes to Rio — Wendy Harmer

Hurly Burly! Pearlie takes part in a Butterfly Carnivàle in Rio.

Pearlie visits Tijuca Forest in Rio De Janiero and discovers a whole world of creatures she's never seen before. There are mischievous monkeys, shiny beetles, and lizards that walk on water. But the most amazing creatures of all are the beautifully colored caterpillars that eat and eat before tucking themselves into a cozy chrysalis. When a hungry parrot mistakes Pearlie for a caterpillar, the newly hatched butterflies come to her rescue and together with Morena the Tijuca Forest Fairy, they all take part in the famous Butterfly Carnivàle.
