Eli looked to the west at the setting sun. It would for sure and certain be dark by the time he reached the Yutzy farm.You are not wilkum here! Those are the words Eli imagined his unforgiving, grim father, Enos Yutzy, would say when he answered the door. He was sure to be shunned by the Amish community as soon as word got around that Eli Yutzy Came Home.
