It finally happened -- Echo asked Omega on a date. And she said yes. So he pulls out all the stops, and takes her to her favorite Broadway show...only to discover that Alpha One is never truly off-duty. For when he introduces Omega to an old friend, the show's star, they find art imitating life, and a dangerous entity plagues the theater. And since the cast and crew have a high percentage of offworlders, and the entity may not be from Earth, it falls under Division One's authority.
Alpha One must go undercover as a Broadway diva and her manager boyfriend in order to bring to light what's really going on. But the situation is complicated by the fact that Echo is trying hard to become Omega's significant other for real.
Except Omega hasn't gotten over the stalking and rape attempt from scant days previous, let alone the biochemical 'programming' that old enemy Slug inserted into her, trying to force her into her stalker's arms. So Alpha One is not only fighting the mysterious 'phantom, ' but Omega's mental and emotional state, as PTSD and exhaustion threaten to overwhelm the female Agent.
But is the entity really after the show's leads...or have Echo and Omega been suckered in?
