GRIEF IN A SUNNY CLIMATE tells the story of Babe, a 42-year-old “adolescent widow” faced with the loss of her husband and the loss of self. Like a frog jumping from one sinking lily pad to another, she embarks on a journey seeking solace in religion, men, travel, psychoanalysis, drugs and poetry. In a series of hilarious and touching vignettes Babe slowly rebuilds her identity and self-esteem, ultimately ending her odyssey in triumph.
