Wyndward Peril
They are the Turner men, Southerners with Northern blood, masters of a thousand slaves. Hated for their "softness" towards blacks, they own Wyndward, the largest plantation in Virginia.

Now the Turner men are without wives, and hungry for women. Traps of deception await the older Fitzjohn; wild-hearted sons - both legitimate and otherwise - are to test Jonathan. Old feuds kindle with new vengeance, and slavery itself is threatened. For the nation totters on the brink of civil war, and the Turners must find the strength - and the love - to survive.
