Woman of Ice
After leaving college, Laurie Peters unwittingly settles into a lifestyle devoid of associations with men, little realising that her attitude stems from an incident in her life that has been concealed in a web of lies, and of which she has no recollection. Accepting a position in France, she meets Martin Perrier, a man who determines to pierce the shroud of indifference in which Laurie envelops herself. The alliance that occurs between this 'Woman of Ice' and the passionately motivated Frenchman provides a compelling relationship, in which Perrier's consuming desire to unearth in her an ardour equal to his own is pitted against Laurie's fear of allowing the destruction of her self-inflicted psychological barrier that dictates her abhorrence of any such physical connection.
