She lit her cigarette and stood in the doorway. The red light behind her cast an eerie red glow over the broken pavement below her.
There was a groaning noise. Someone having sex? None of the girls would have come back here for that. She adjusted her bra a little. Maybe it's one of the street girls?
She stepped out on the pavement and looked in the direction of the noise. The alley was dark and there wasn't much light, so she pulled out her lighter and struck three times before the flame ignited.
She walked over to the big trash bin that the club dumped bottles in. There was a leg sticking out from behind the bin. God, she must be desperate to do it in this mess. There was garbage spilling out from the bin. That can't have been fun.
She walked around the other side of the bin and stopped.
"Oh my god!" She screamed.
There was a leg and just a leg.

His anger burned down to an ebbing flame. She stood there waiting for it. He prodded her one more time and pushed past her to leave. He would be drunk tonight and that meant he would want to do 'things'. The idea was not appealing.
She sat down on the couch. No more tears. They didn't come anymore. She felt sad and depressed, but she couldn't cry and gain relief. She had had enough and something inside of her told her she would need to do something about it.
She walked into the kitchen and looked at the food she had been preparing. She had asked him to help because she needed to meet her friend Becky at the cafe later to discuss her son's birthday party. Now she wouldn't be able to go.
She picked up her mobile phone. She had bookmarked a page last night that might come in useful for now.

"How to create a deadly poison that is untraceable."

The title spoke volumes about how she felt right now.
