An invasion from the Isillas elves -- Svartån's most ancient enemy -- looms imminent and Ina's first priority is to prepare her new homeland's defenses. Which would be easier if not for the deep hatred held by many of her subjects against their half-elven neighbors. With the Isillas at their doorstep, Svartån is fractured and in need of a leader to unite it once and for all. Racing to improve not only her fighting and leadership skills, she finds herself out of time when the Isillas attack and endanger not only Svartån, but those closest to her.
