The Earth-based Space Academy and Mars colonies convened a deep space exploration conference. No one anticipated the extraordinary events that would befall the venture they planned. Captain Chad Bryson and Director Niles Grayson guided the one-hundred-and-fifty members on board Deep Space One through ship abandonment, alien planet exploration, and alien meetings with beings that did not appear alien at all. The members began a cooperative effort on the part of the governments of four worlds that had only been an extravagant dream. This task required many generations to complete.
