The Star of Generosity
For many centuries now, a magical book protected the Stars of Christmas, which made sure that Christmas was the greatest festival in the world. The festival of generosity, hope, joy and harmony

But when Juliette, Klelia and Théo destroy the book, Christmas loses its magic and the world is disenchanted. To turn it into a wonderful festival again, Ginnie, the Christmas Fairy, decides to send the children to the North, in search of the Star of Generosity.

But will they manage to discover it before midnight, and restore the enchantment of Christmas?

EXCERPT

“But it was just a book,” protested Théo.

“How can we make up for it?” asked Juliette.

“It wasn't just a book. It was the book that protected the four Stars of Christmas. Each of them saw to it that Christmas remained the most beautiful celebration in the world. Now, generosity will disappear and Christmas will no longer be magical, unless I take you to the lands of the North to help find it.”

“By all means,” replied Klelia.

Théo and Juliette nodded in agreement.

With a wave of her magic wand, Ginnie cast a shower of stars over the children.

“Good luck,” she said.

The children found themselves standing before a tall, frightening woman, in a snow-covered landscape.

“Thank you for ruining that stupid book. At least now we can be sure no-one will have any presents at Christmas,” she said, sounding pleased.

“Why? Why is that?” Klelia glared at her.

“Because by making the Northern Star disappear, you made generosity vanish, so how could anyone give any gifts? I've been waiting for this moment for so long.”

“But we didn't mean to cause any trouble,” protested Juliette. “We like getting presents.”

“Too late, little one! And to make sure you'll never find it again, you'll be shut away.”

“Shut away where?” asked Théo, worried.

“Here,” she said triumphantly, and with a flick of her wand, a maze of ice rose up and surrounded the children. “You will stay here until Christmas is over. People forget all their good intentions afterwards, anyway.”
