In 1954 the USDA established the Plum Island animal disease center. They were reported to be doing biological warfare research. It was then reported that in 1994 Russian scientists inspected the island and confirmed that the biological testing had ended. Nothing else was reported about the Island.
Then news was leaked that foot and mouth disease had consumed the animals on the island, and that the government destroyed the animals to control the spread of the disease. But there were several private government watch agencies that suspected that the workers on the island were doing more testing than what was being reported to the public. Some of their suspicions were confirmed when unknown animals began washing up on the shores.
In an effort to capture evidence of what the government was doing on the island, some of those agencies began sending people out on boats into the bay to monitor and tape any activity on or around the island, to document who, and what agencies were going to and from the island. When these people begin to disappear, then more suspicion is cast upon the island and the agencies who sent them want to find their people and expose the truth about the island.
One agency takes the steps and hires a man to get onto the island, try and find their people and rescue them from the island, and while on the island try and get some proof of what the true nature of the research involved.
When Jacob Williams took the job to infiltrate the island, he had no idea that he would soon be fighting for his life, and at the same time discover the horrible truth about the island. He could never have imagined that he would be the only person that would be fighting to save the human race from the terror that the island was about to release.
