Halloween is drawing near, but Moira Darling has more on her mind than pumpkins, ghosts, and trick-or-treating. After volunteering to run a haunted house for one of her friends, she has enough on her plate even before her daughter hits her with some surprising news. She's still reeling from her daughter's decision when she discovers something that will give her nightmares for weeks to come. A body impaled on a metal spike… a body that vanishes after she rushes inside to call the police.
