Nurse Trenton
"A nurse ought to lose her private life when she comes on duty. She should be willing to give the same wholehearted service to her deadliest enemy as to her dearest friend. I have chosen you to nurse Mr. Lovat because you are the most suitable of my present staff to do so, so please make arrangements to take up you new work at once." It was with a heavy heart that Nurse Trenton heard the words of "Old Battle-Axe"; for, because of something in the past, Jarvis Lovat was Jane's deadliest enemy. Although "Old Battle-Axe" could not know what exactly stood between Jane and Jarvis Lovat, Jane was aware that the Sister's words were true. There was no other alternative for Jane except to play her special part in saving the life of the one man in the world she hated.
