As well as grief, the loss of her mother gave Sarah a fresh set of problems. Her pharmacy was threatened by a property developer; she needed to see more of her son Craig, at a school for the deaf in Melbourne, and the locum her GP father had organized to cover is absence abroad left through family illness.
