Lia Higgins and Gracie Davis grew up as cousins and best friends. They spent there young lives almost inseparable, but times are changing. Lia and Gracie are each destined for their own journey and their own destiny. Lia is very much involved with the Chippewa tribe. As areas are surveyed, and homes and land taken, Gracie Davis strives to uncover the hidden agenda of railroad supervisor Jordan Wells. Using her skills as a reporter for the local newspaper, Gracie embarks on a plan to reveal all she can about Mr. Wells and his plans to disrupt the lives of the fine people of Willow Creek. The different challenges of the two women bring them together as they find their way through adventure and romance.
