Ruby Cole has spent her entire life in Parks, Texas. Most of it behind the counter of the local diner she inherited from her late grandparents. A staple in Parks, most people stop in Sloppy's Diner for a bite to eat and great conversation. But despite her love for the diner and the locals, Ruby debates if she should sell it and try her hand at something new. She also longs for a relationship that goes beyond just fulfilling a drink order. Lawrence Hastings loves eating at Sloppy's.
